Joep Boode, born in 1999, is a Dutch composer and producer based in Utrecht, focusing on music for film.

His music is characterized by an intimate, hopeful sound that captures the textures of the instruments he works with, embracing the imperfections of reality. He blends familiar instruments with field recordings and self-made samples, believing that any noise can become music.​​​

Entering the music field as a musician, he studied electric guitar and songwriting at the Herman Brood Academy, playing in several bands. After graduating, he went on to study at Music and Technology at the University of the Arts Utrecht. At the same time, he joined MEAU ’s live band as a guitarist, performing in club-tours and at festivals across the Netherlands and Belgium. He left the band in 2023 to focus on composition and music production for film.
